Collection and Retention of Information

When you visit our Sites, whether to request merchandise and services or simply to become better acquainted with TheDrCed’s various offerings, we may ask you to provide certain information about yourself, including your name, mailing address, email address, and phone number. In addition, purchases by credit card will require your disclosure of your credit card account number and security number for that credit card. In other instances, we (or qualified contractors/vendors on our behalf) may automatically collect some non-personally identifiable computer information regarding your use of our Sites, such as the type of computer operating system you are using (such as Windows 8, Mac OS, etc.) and web browser that you are using (such as Internet Explorer, Safari, etc.), as well as information regarding your Internet service provider, IP address, and the frequency with which you visit various parts of our web sites.

TheDrCed may, from time to time, offer forums or the ability to comment through some of our Sites. If you post personally identifiable information on a forum, you should be aware that such information could be read, collected or used by other users. We are not responsible for any personally identifiable information you choose to publish through such forums. These forums are intended for use only by users over the age of thirteen (13) years.

If you use GoogleTM, FacebookTM, or similar social media connect functions to log in, we may collect your name and email address to authenticate you and your profile picture to use as your picture on our applicable web site. Your decision to use a social networking service in connection with our Services is voluntary. However, you should make sure you are comfortable with the information your third-party social networking services may make available to our Services by visiting those services’ privacy policies and/or modifying your privacy settings directly with those services. THIS FEATURE IS INTENDED ONLY FOR USERS OVER THE AGE OF THIRTEEN (13) YEARS.

Children’s Data Protection and Parental Responsibility

As part of our Services, TheDrCed makes available subscription sites and online stores that may be of interest to children. WE DO NOT ALLOW CHILDREN TO REGISTER THEMSELVES FOR THESE SERVICES AND WILL NEVER ASK CHILDREN UNDER THIRTEEN (13) TO DIRECTLY PROVIDE PERSONAL INFORMATION, NOR DO WE INTEND THAT THE SERVICES BE UTILIZED BY CHILDREN UNDER THIRTEEN (13) WITHOUT ADULT SUPERVISION. It is solely responsibility of the child’s parent(s) or lawful guardian(s) to provide TheDrCed with personal information that we may store and use about their children in registering and maintaining accounts on our Sites. TheDrCed will never receive or accept personally identifiable information about a child from any school or educational institution with which we may be partnered.

TheDrCed uses testimonials of students, whether or not a minor, to promote, market, and/or confirm the usefulness of its Student Coaching program. In so doing, TheDrCed will limit identification of the student in question to a combination of only first name, school grade level and/or city/state of residence but no other personal information or other information that identifies the actual student. By enrolling in THEDRCED’s coaching program, the student and/or his/her custodial adult if the student is a minor, consent to such limited use and acknowledge the understanding that any such testimonial belongs exclusively to THEDRCED and its assigns and no other person or firm. Such information will never be sold, leased, or shared with any third parties for commercial exploitation.

When we collect personal information pertaining to children under thirteen (13) years old, we take steps to protect children’s privacy, including:

In accordance with applicable law and our practices, obtaining confirmation regarding the child’s age and verifiable consent from parents/guardians prior to our collection, use, or disclosure of any personal information about children under thirteen (13) by sending a confirmation email to the email address of the parent or guardian registering the child;
